Prepared Mail FAQs

What are the EDDM Sizes?

EDDM sizes currently come in four options:

11” x 17” EDDM Flyers are the giants of the EDDM Flyers and are used best when you want maximum impact on your mailer or you have multiple offers.  They fold in half and are commonly used for restaurants, take out menus, real estate flyers, general contractors, etc.

4.25” x 11” EDDM postcards are the most affordable option and are generally used for special offers and announcements.

6.25” x 9” EDDM postcards have a tendency to stand out from other direct mail and are designed to get your message across.  This size provides excellent visibility and will get your business noticed.

8.5” x 11” EDDM Postcards are our best selling product and bring both value and savings.  They are versatile for all promotional needs and deliver powerful results.

The four EDDM sizes offered by Prepared Mail can cover all of your promotional needs.   If you have any other questions regarding EDDM sizes, please feel free to call our offices at (888) 545-5509.

Why is there an additional shipping charge when I check out?

This is a USPS charge for shipping your printed advertisements from our facility to the designated post office.  Since the carrier routes you chose for your campaign goes through several facilities before it reaches the homes and businesses, the USPS charges a fee based on the volume and weight of your campaign. This is standard and the cost is passed directly on from the post office.  We do not charge extra for the shipping.

Why is Prepared Mail more cost effective than a direct mail campaign?

Several reasons, the EDDM Program was designed to help businesses with associated marketing costs and reduced postal rates.  Also, you don’t need a mailing list and the process has been streamlined, passing the savings on to you.

Can I target specific demographics?

Yes, by using Preparedmail.com demographic tool in our EDDM mapping software, you are able to target key demographic areas that will target your preferred demographic.

What is a carrier route?

A carrier route is a group of addresses that are on a route of a mail delivery person. Zip codes may have several carrier routes. Carrier routes are highlighted in the EDDM Mapping tool.
